Product Bulletin Details - 1/7/2008
1/7/2008 - The Goodman Ductless Mini Split Condenser will not energize cooling at low ambient conditions below 68 degrees.
In addition, when temperatures drop below 68 degrees when the unit is already in operation the compressor will lock out. This safety feature is designed to protect the compressor. The thermistor which controls this function is located directly on the board and cannot be bypassed. An aftermarket low ambient control will not work. Technical support from Goodman Manufacturing is not clear on this function.
