How a Xantus direct inject works

1. Turn the system on and confirm it is running.
2. Connect the direct inject to the low-side service port (the larger line) with the inject gun or a manifold hose.
3. Purge the hose, open the low-side valve and watch the tube clear. Close the valve as soon as it is clear.
4. Verify the charge to the manufacturer's specification and run the system for at least one hour so the sealant circulates and finds the leaks.

No pump-down, no evacuation, no measuring. Xantus sealants mix with all common refrigerants (including R-410A, R-32, R-290 and R-600) and all oils, excluding ammonia systems.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pump the system down first? No. Pump-down is not necessary with any refrigerant; follow the directions on the inject.

Can I inject while charging? Yes. The refrigerant being added pushes the sealant into the low-pressure side.

Will it clog my gauges or the metering device? Max Seal is proven not to clog manifold gauges and not to plug TXVs, cap tubes or pistons.

Why is there a small bubble in the inject tube? It is a gas bubble from vapor pressure introduced during filling. It is normal.

Which size do I buy? Match the system tonnage in the table above. Fractional injects are for 1.5 ton and under, residential for 1.5 to 5 ton, Ultra for 2 to 10 ton, Commercial for 6 to 15 ton, and the 27-101 for 16 to 30 ton.
