Grundfos UP Series pumps feature a canned rotor design, meaning the pump and rotor form an integral unit without a shaft seal. This "built-in" motor provides a longer life and better performance, as well as, quiet operation. The pump's bearings are lubricated from the liquid being pumped through the unit, eliminating the need for frequent lubrication. The UPS Series impeller is made out of corrosive-resistant, non-metallic material.
